The Freedom To Speak

The first amendment of the constitution exclaims that we not only have certain religious rights, but the right to petition our government in a time of need as well as a freedom of the press and the freedom given to the American people to speak their minds. To speak is a voluntary action to express the mind's ponderings aloud with spoken words. It is not the right to write whatever you want, do whatever you want, or place yourself above and out of reach of God's laws or American law. Granted when you write you use words. But unspoken words. That right is granted by the freedom of press.

The right to say what's on your mind and to write as well are granted to all Americans within the bounds of our nations laws. I would never say, "I want that president or politician dead or assassinated." Live and let live is a wonderful philosophy. Unless you are dealing with a murderer or rapist pedophile or something of that respective context. I don't want Obama dead. I just want him to do his job as President in the next three and a half years. If these politicians could stop catering to their own personal desires for the nation (abortion, stem cell research, etc.) and listen to the people, you will find that we have far better ideas for this nation than some putz who has been in the senate for 15 years and forgot what it's like to be a real American. Working and striving for a better life.

Politicians have developed a complex when it comes to laws and regulations. They don't care what the outcome of their decision will be, because they are sitting pretty while most of the rest of America struggles to put food on the table. What happened to OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, and FOR THE PEOPLE?

We cannot even criticize white house policy when it's against the better judgement of Americans and it ends up hurting us in the long run. Nobody hesitated to crack on Bush when he messed up or came of as an idiot. Why can we not say the same for Obama now? What makes him any less subject to criticism than W? Alan Keyes of Illinois (R) was arrested for calling Obama a commie and saying he doesn't even know if Obama is really president because he was supposedly born in Kenya. Whatever the case may be, his rights were thwarted when he was taken to jail for saying shit that you can find on youtube and internet blogs across the nation. Throwing people in jail everytime the president gets butt hurt about a comment isn't going to help anything. Man up Mr. President. If you really want to be president, then take the critcism. Obama said he will hold the nation accountable for his actions and the things he has said. I will take that into close consideration. I am holding him accountable and so should you. He is your president and public representative for the entire nation and in some instances, the world, you are not his private citizen.

Granted, politicians are supposed to make decisions, but they are to be made based upon the problems and concerns of American citizens. Speak your mind and keep in mind that we outnumber and outsmart a Congress and government that can only be described a cluster fuck. Remember, we decide.
